Local Umpire Receives World Series Assignment

Florida District 17 is pleased to congratulate Joe Clark of Southwestern Port St. Lucie Little League on his selection to umpire in the 2018 Senior Softball World Series. This series will be played in Lower Sussex, Delaware.

Before becoming eligible for assignment to a World Series, Little League umpires must first receive a Regional tournament assignment where they are evaluated by the Regional staff for their fitness to umpire at the World Series level.

In addition to attending multiple Regional level clinics, Joe has umpired in the following Southeastern Region tournaments:

2013 Southeastern Region Senior League Softball Tournament
2015 Southeastern Region Big League Softball Tournament
2016 Southeastern Region Junior League Softball Tournament

At each of the above tournaments, Joe earned a World Series recommendation as well as the highly coveted Championship Game Plate Umpire assignment.
